By Dominic Cipriano and Kevin O’Neill: With the spring sports season coming to an end, it is time to ask the annual question… Which is better lacrosse or baseball? This year it is pretty clear, with the varsity lacrosse team being 16-3 as of 5/2/13 and the baseball team being 1-7 lacrosse wins by a landslide. But you decide which is better Lacrosse or Baseball.

SEA Lacrosse Update

By Dominic Cipriano & Kevin O’Neill: In the past month and a half the St. Edmond’s Academy Varsity lacrosse team went 6-0 in two tournaments. Every game the varsity team out scored their opponent by as many points of 3 plus. Out of all 6 games the team only let up 6 goals. The goalies Troy Ogelsby and Evan Shopfer played outstandingly. The defense, Dominic Cipriano, Dan Hogan, Kevin O’Neill, Mike Devine, and Nick Salameda, played exceptionally with the goalies. With more improvements happening the team has good things coming ahead.

By Kevin O’Neill Jr. And Dominic Cipriano: Varsity lacrosse for the seventh and eighth graders started Monday, March 4th. The first practice was cold, but the team got a good amount of work done and they shook off all of the cobwebs. The team already has a scrimmage this coming up Wednesday against TowerHill. Also with two scheduled tournaments in Pennsylvania and Maryland it looks like the team will have a great year.

Expensive Starbucks Coffee

By Kevin O’Neill and Dominic Cipriano: The recent record of the most expensive Starbucks coffee, which was $23.60, was broken at a whopping price of $47.30! This concoction contained 40’shots of coffee and consisted of 52oz of coffee ingredients and is called the “Quadriginoctuple Frap.” This is a big step for coffee kind and a big gulp of for human kind.

Hottest Kicking it Catholic Shoes

WILMINGTON, DE – Catholic Schools Week officially started Monday but didn’t really “kick-off” until Thursday with “Kick it Catholic Day.” On “Kick it Catholic Day” students were allowed to wear whatever shoes they felt fit. And trust me when I say, we had some pretty fresh shoes. From Vibrams to freshly copped L.L.Beans/Nike transfusion shoe “Kick it Catholic Day” was a huge success.
This article includes the top 5 shoes that were worn that day ranked.

1. Bradford Poole’s rainbow colored Nike ID Free Run 3s were not a hard choice for the #1 shoe worn that day.

2. My powder blue Vibram KSOs were a close second in the contest. Being the only person wearing “toe-shoes” today I truly stuck out, in a good way I hope.

3. For the first time in school history Br. Joe was seen wearing shoes that weren’t black. News like this only breaks the press a few times a decade so Br. Joe’s classic white Dr. Scholl’s made our list for third coolest shoe of the day.

4. Ben Horgan gave us a tip to check out John Turley’s “sparkling” Lebron Xs. So we gave them a look and they are now placed #4 on our list.

5. Last, but very far from least were Dom Cipriano’s freshly copped L.L Bean/Nike Transfusion Shoes.

Sadly, nobody came in with the old-school LeBron 1s. If someone did, I would applaud them.
